REVIEW:

When looking at the synopsis of Parkland Speaks, the words "intimate collection" stood out. While reading through these heartbreakingly personal pieces of those who survived, it's hard not to feel drawn into a quiet, enveloping circle of grief. A reflective mood that will pull readers away from the safety of their own reality and into a raw, first-person accounting of the aftermath of a horrific experience.

You will be affected -- by sadness, anger, and an overwhelming sense to protect your loved ones from ever having to face such danger in a place they thought safe.

Parkland Speaks treats each person, carefully and responsibly. Their thoughts presented with respectful attention and in a way that speaks to the innocence lost having been eyewitness to this tragedy. A beautiful portrait of enduring faith in the future, and a committed community that has come together to show the world; these people, these lives, and these voices will not be silenced.

Healing takes time, and Parkland Speaks shows off how strong the younger generation is, even as they face their own finite existence every day they walk the halls of their school.
